  • Product Description

    The streptavidin magnetic beads are uniform size, narrow size distribution with large surface area and unique surface coating, it is easy to capture the biotinylated proteins or other molecules, and the bounded protein have no activity lost, can help us get the best performance and highly reproducible results.

  • Storage

    This product is stable for 1 year when stored at -20 °C.

    Please avoid more than 3 freeze-thaw cycles once reconstitution, immediate use after reconstitution is highly recommended.

  • Assay Principles

    Application Method:
    a) Reconstitute the beads with ultrapure water to 1mg/mL, and wash the beads for three times.
    b) Dilute the biotinalytated protein or antibodies with Assay Buffer, and add to the beads, incubate for 60 minutes at room temperature in a rotary mixer.
    c) Wash the beads for four times, and add assay buffer to beads for next experiment.

    Streptavidin (SA) has an extraordinarily high affinity for biotin with a dissociation constant (Kd) on the order of 10−14 mol/L, the Biotinylated protein can bind to the SA beads irreversibly. The Magenetic beads are pre-coupled with Streptavidin tetramer protein and blocked with BSA, it is a ready-to-use beads, which can be used for binding biotinylated proteins and antibodies.

    Streptavidin coated magnetic beads (cat# SMB-B01) lot # SMB1-2299-15Z was used as immunocapture to remove the biotinylated proteins in the samples, and the supernatant containing target proteins in the samples were proceeded for the next step of ELISA. The SA magnetic beads are convenient and are easily to handle. The result showed the biotinylated proteins were significantly removed after the incubation with SA-beads, and it demonstrated the SA beads performed very well. Additional to this experiment, the SA beads will be considered for other applications because of the good performance.

    Can lyophilized proteins remain stable during room-temperature shipping or temporary room-temperature exposure?

    In general, lyophilized proteins remain stable during room-temperature shipping or temporary exposure to room-temperature conditions.


    Many ACROBiosystems recombinant proteins are supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form. The lyophilization process effectively removes moisture from the product, helping reduce degradation-related reactions and improve protein stability during transportation and storage.


    To evaluate the stability of lyophilized proteins under normal temperature conditions, ACROBiosystems conducted a stability study on 11 representative lyophilized protein products at 37°C. The study demonstrated that these proteins maintained good quality stability after storage at 37°C for approximately 20 days. Based on these validation results, temporary room-temperature exposure during shipping or handling is generally not expected to have a significant impact on product quality or downstream application performance.


    To ensure optimal long-term stability, products should be stored according to the storage conditions specified in the product Certificate of Analysis (COA) upon receipt.
