Laminin 523 (LN523) is a key recombinant basement membrane protein that provides an ideal surface for the adhesion and growth of human pluripotent stem cells while significantly promoting their directed differentiation. Particularly in ophthalmology, it effectively guides the differentiation of stem cells into retinal progenitor cells and supports the formation of retinal organoids containing photoreceptor precursors, while also facilitating the generation and maturation of corneal epithelial cells. It serves as an essential substrate for studying visual development and disease mechanisms.
