Source

Biotinylated Human ANGPTL7 Protein, Avitag (AN7-H8213) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gln 27 - Pro 346 (Accession # O43827).

Predicted N-terminus: Gln 27

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries an Avi tag (Avitag™) at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 38.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 45-55 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

The protein is designed as a trimer.

Labeling

Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Protein Ratio

Passed as determined by the SABA assay / HABA assay / binding ELISA.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>95% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

Angiopoietin-like 7 (ANGPTL7), also known as cornea-derived transcript 6 (CDT6), is a secreted glycoprotein structurally related to the angiopoietins. It is expressed in the corneal stroma, trabecular meshwork, and sclera, and is elevated in the aqueous humor of glaucoma patients. Recently, ANGPTL proteins, including ANGPTL-2, -3, -5, and -7, have been identified as factors that, in combination with SCF, thrombopoietin (TPO), IGF-II, and acidic FGF (FGF-1), enhance the expansion and engraftment of human and mouse hematopoietic stem cells.
