  • SDS-PAGE

    ROCK1 SDS-PAGE

Human ROCK1 Protein, GST Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 50% (With Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker).

  • Bioactivity

The ROCK1 assay is performed using the ADP-GloTM Kinase Assay kit which quantifies the amount of ADP produced by the ROCK1 reaction. The ADP- GloTM Reagent is added to terminate the kinase reaction and to deplete the remaining ATP, and then the Kinase Detection Reagent is added to convert ADP to ATP and to measure the newly synthesized ATP using luciferase/luciferin reaction. The specific activity is >30 pmol/min/ug (QC tested).

Background Introduction

ROCK1 (Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 1) is a critical serine/threonine kinase that functions as a key downstream effector of the small GTPase RhoA. It plays a fundamental role in regulating cytoskeleton organization, actomyosin contractility, and cell motility. ROCK1 is vital for diverse biological processes, including cell adhesion, cytokinesis, and apoptosis, making it a significant target in cancer and cardiovascular research.
