This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).
The protein has a calculated MW of 16.0 kDa. The protein migrates as 20 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Biotinylated Human MIF, His,Avitag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 90%.

LikesThis product was used for characterization of a novel therapeutic testing kinetics and affinity on SPR with a Cytiva BiotinCAPture kit. It worked phenomenally with both the novel approach and a positive control. Additionally, it was used with a Streptavidin coated ELISA plate (also from Acro), results were phenomenal with that approach as well. Overall, this product has been well received by our team and we have already ordered more to continue testing.
