Source

Biotinylated Human CDCP1 Protein, His,Avitag (CD1-H82E4) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Phe 30 - Thr 667 (Accession # Q9H5V8-1).

Predicted N-terminus: Phe 30

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

The protein has a calculated MW of 75.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 90-110 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Labeling

Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Protein Ratio

Passed as determined by the SABA assay / HABA assay / binding ELISA.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background Introduction

CUB domain-containing protein 1, also know as CDCP1. CDCP1 is a cell surface glycoprotein that has been recognized both as a tumour marker and as a potential target to disrupt progression of cancer. CDCP1 has been shown to modulate cellsubstratum adhesion and motility in colon cancer cell lines.
