Source

Cynomolgus Cadherin-3 Protein, His Tag (CA3-C52H3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Asp 108 - Gly 654 (Accession # A0A2K5WPN9).

Predicted N-terminus: Asp 108

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 61.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 70-85 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background Introduction

Cadherin-3 (also known as P-cadherin)is a classical cell-to-cell adhesion molecule with a homeostatic function in several normal tissues. In humans, cadherin-3 is
only detected in a few organs. However, its overexpression is strongly associated with a poor prognosis in some solid tumors including breast, lung and pancreatic
cancers.
