Source

Human Nectin-4, Fc Tag (NE4-H5255) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gly 32 - Ser 349 (Accession # Q96NY8-1).

Predicted N-terminus: Gly 32

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 60.5 kDa. The protein migrates as 65-70 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 0.01 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>95% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in Tris with Glycine, Arginine and NaCl, pH7.5 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

Nectin-4 (Nectin Cell Adhesion Molecule 4) is a member of the nectin family of immunoglobulin-like cell adhesion molecules. It is highly expressed during embryonic development but shows limited expression in most normal adult tissues. Nectin-4 is overexpressed in a variety of solid tumors, including bladder, breast, lung, pancreatic and ovarian cancers, and has been associated with tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. Studies have shown that Nectin-4 contributes to tumor progression through multiple signaling pathways, including PI3K/Akt signaling. Due to its restricted expression in normal tissues and elevated expression in malignant tumors, Nectin-4 has emerged as an attractive therapeutic target for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
