Source

Biotinylated Human ELAPOR1, His,Avitag (EL1-H82E9) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Thr 42 - Lys 910 (Accession # Q6UXG2-1).

Predicted N-terminus: Thr 42

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

The protein has a calculated MW of 99.0 kDa. The protein migrates as 105-125 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Labeling

Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Protein Ratio

Passed as determined by the SABA assay / HABA assay / binding ELISA.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

Endosome/lysosome-associated apoptosis and autophagy regulator (ELAPOR1), also known as EIG121 protein, is a type I transmembrane protein induced by estrogen. It is associated with the endosome-lysosome compartments and may play an important role in autophagy and cell proliferation. Under unfavorable conditions such as starvation and exposure to cytotoxic agents, ELAPOR1 may protect cells from cell death by upregulating the autophagy pathway.
